Christmas Decorations For Your Dollhouse

As you decorate for Christmas this year, don't forget about decorating your dollhouse! Not only is it fun, but it gives your own home a very unique Christmas decoration. Here are some accessories you can purchase to make your dollhouse look more festive:

Christmas Trees

There are many types of Christmas trees available, just as in real life. Some come pre-decorated; others are plain but can have decorations added on them. Many come with "snow" attached. You can buy green, gold, silver, or white Christmas trees, with several varying heights. Ornaments are available, as well as dollhouse-sized tinsel, and angels to rest on top. You can also get a Christmas tree skirt-and don't forget about the presents that go under the tree! You can get sets of wrapped presents as well as Christmas gift bags for your dollhouse.

Christmas Decorations
There are many decorations you can place all around your dollhouse. There are garlands of many different colors, stockings for the fireplace, silver bells, Santa hats, candy canes, and snowflakes. There are several types of wreaths available as well. You can also buy a nativity set for your dollhouse, or a tiny gingerbread house to place on a dollhouse table. Another idea is to buy a holiday sled and load it with presents or other Christmas decorations.

Lights
Dollhouse Christmas lights can really make your dollhouse look festive! Even if your dollhouse is not wired for lighting, some Christmas lights can be plugged into a regular outlet. You can add these lights to the exterior of the house or to your dollhouse Christmas tree. Try to measure ahead so you know how many strings of lights you will need.

Other Christmas Décor
There are many adorable Christmas statues available to place around your dollhouse. There are several varieties of Santa Clause, including tumbling Santas, Santa with elves, and Santa with his reindeer. There are also many types of Christmas bears. Most of these statues stand at around 1 ¼ to 1 ½ inches tall. Some of them come with loops attached, so they can be added to your own Christmas tree.

Santa Claus Doll
What would Christmas be without a visit from Old Saint Nick? You could display a beautiful Santa Claus doll, maybe poised under the Christmas tree, or standing by the fireplace with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk. Children would love to play pretend with a Santa Claus that they can touch and admire.
