Creating Unique Christmas Decorations Based on Your Specific House Plans

If you tend to go more than just a little overboard when it comes to Christmas, now is the time to start preparing yourself. With Christmas still away, there is plenty of time to begin those creative projects and have them done in time to enjoy when the day finally comes. When it comes to decorating our homes we generally put most of our energy and money into decorating the interior of our homes rather than the outside. This makes the most sense since we spend the majority of our time indoors in the winter where we can enjoy those decorations. But if you are looking for something to really spruce up your Spanish style house plans, then perhaps you should look no farther than your front lawn.

When people begin to decorate the outside of their homes for Christmas, they generally start with Christmas lights. People put up lights of all different colors and styles. You could choose to put all red lights on your house and all green lights on all the plants surrounding it. Or you might decide to add all white lights to your house with strands of multi color lights on all the plants and trees. They even have strands of giant light bulbs that you can use to line your driveway. But there is another way to decorate your front yard: with Christmas yard art. Imagine having Santa's sleigh and his eight reindeer prancing through the front yard of your unique cottage house plans. Or maybe even a couple of jolly elves twirling on your lawn. All you really need is a simple plan to follow and some wood, tools and lots of paint.

When it comes to decorating your front lawn with Christmas yard art, the possibilities are limited only to your imagination. If you have a creative side and can draw just about anything then all you really need is to get to work. All you need to do is take a large piece of wood and draw the shape of the figure that you want to create. Then cut this shape out with a jigsaw with great care. Then simply paint the wood and you will have a beautiful new way to decorate your home. If you really want to emphasize the figures in front of your prairie style home plans, all you then need to do is install a light that will light the figure up at night. So whatever your grand plans for your house this year, make sure to get a head start and start planning now!
